The Simmons family came to Warrensburg about 1945 or 46. The daughter, Shirley, and I graduated from WHS in 1951 The boy is her brother, Michael. Mr. & Mrs. Simmons left Wbg, moved to Oklahoma when Shirley was in the 12th grade and she stayed with neighbors to finish high school. She became a Registered Nurse and lived in Texas. Shirley and her brother attended one of our class reunions.
Thank you, again, Joann! When we first were looking through this massive collection of negatives several years ago, I was really charmed by what I believed to be shots of the photographer's family living right there with his 2nd floor studio on Holden Street. I am so glad to have you confirm that my supposition was correct. Peggy was talking about the negatives she is working with today. They are the first, most interesting (to me) ones that we found as we went through cleaning years of dust from them. She has noticed that I pulled out certain ones that were of photographer's mistakes... she said there were a lot of photos of his fingers over the lens... I guess it seems like that because I was so taken with the ones that revealed something about Simmons as a real human bean : )......
